Candida. Is That Why I Cannot Remember Anything?

In todays world, we are exposed to so many more chemicals, pesticides, pollutants, medications, electro-magnetic fields, heavy metals, hormones and more than ever before. Many of these things have only been around for the past 20-40 years. Our bodies have to work very hard to filter these things out and then try to re-balance itself on a daily basis.

One health issue that has become an epidemic problem is "Systemic Candida". When I fist started in practice over 35 years ago, I only saw candida in about 25% of my patients. Today I see it in 95% of my patients. So why has this number continued to rise year after year?

Candida is a naturally occurring yeast (fungus) found in the large intestine. It does not normally cause any health issues. It is relatively small in numbers compared to the healthy and helpful bacteria that are also found in the large intestine. With the increase in anti-biotic use, hormone replacement, birth control pills, hormone IUD's and the hormones put into our animal food source, candida and the health problems associated with it, has increased astronomically in recent years.

All of these things change the ph of the large intestine into an environment that is unfriendly to the helpful and healthy bacteria, so they can no longer survive. It does become an environment that is very friendly to candida and other fungus', and so they multiply and basically take over the large intestine. Candida, fungus' and their bi- product of metabolism (an opiate chemical) do not stay within the large intestine. Micro holes develop which enables them to leak out of your gut (leaky gut syndrome) and go all over your body, with layers of the opiate chemicals ending up around the brain.

One of the main symptoms of candida is memory problems. We call this "Brain Fog" . With the layers of chemicals around the brain, the brain itself can not function at 100%. The ability to recall information and remember things in many people is greatly compromised. There are many other symptoms of candida. Digestive problems, muscular skeletal pain, headaches, vaginal yeast infections, rashes, allergies, the tendency to get sick more often, hormonal issues. anxiety and much more. No one ever has all of them, but everyone always has several of these issues. The good news is that I have been able to help thousands of patients that ended up having "Systemic Candida" get well.

Candida does not care if you are male or female, young or old, anyone can end up with this health problem. If you would like more information on how I treat candida, you can go to my website at Candida is not a life sentence, but it can make you very sick. I look forward to helping you regain your health!

I Have Lyme Disease. Will I Ever Feel Well Again?

I have been in practice for over 35 years. In that period of time I have seen patients with all types of health problems. Lyme disease is probably one of the most complicated and debilitating health issue I have seen.

What makes Lyme disease so hard to treat, is that most people who become very sick from Lyme already have many other factors affecting their health that have not been treated first. Many of my patients have tried years and years of being on antibiotics, then taking herbal formulations and then starting the whole process over again and never really getting well.

In order to get well from Lyme all aspects of one's health must be addressed. In other words your structure, your chemistry and your brain function must all be working together in order for the body to heal. In my practice this is exactly what I do. I asses all aspects of one's health to figure out what is compromising a patients health and then set up an appropriate protocol specifically designed for that patient.

I look at your body as an equal lateral triangle. Structure on the bottom, chemical on the left and brain function on the right. When your body is not functioning correctly on any of these sides, this triangle is no longer equal. This causes a break in communication and the different parts of body can not longer work together enabling you to get well.

My approach is to help the body on all sides become balanced and communicate with each other in a way that it is supposed to. By being able to achieve this, I have been able to help my patients with Lyme disease regain their health and lead full and functioning lives. Lyme is not an easy fix, but with the right treatment and dedication on my part and my patients part, you can feel well again.

Candida. Does Everyone Have It?

Perhaps the inquiry I get the most at my office is about Candida. About 1 out of every 3 phone calls I receive is a person suspecting that they are suffering from Candida.

Actually there are 14 known strains of Candida, with Albicans and Tropicalis being the most common. So what is Candida? How do you get it? Most importantly how do you get rid of it?

Candida is actually a yeast found normally in small amounts in your gut. When the helpful bacteria are there, and doing their job properly, the yeast actually doesn't cause any health issues.

If something changes that balance like: taking antibiotics, being on birth control pills or hormone replacement, being sexually active and sharing body fluids with another person, and even sharing food and drinks with others (who have Candida already), you will most likely end up with systemic yeast (Candida) in time.

What actually happens is that the environment of the gut becomes unfriendly to the helpful bacteria and so they die. Unfortunately it becomes an environment that is extremely friendly to yeast, and so they multiply at an amazing rate. This change in environment also changes the actual lining of the gut. They end up with tiny little holes, allowing the yeast and its byproduct (a toxin similar to an opiate) to leak out of the gut (leaky gut syndrome) going all over the body, eventually laying down a layer around the brain itself.

There are many symptoms associated with systemic Candida. All types of digestive problems, like heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, IBS and more. Many people complain of muscle and joint pain, headaches, increases in allergies, susceptibility to viruses and colds, fatigue, depression, anxiety, hormonal issues, brain fog and more. Everyone’s symptoms are different.

The good news is that I have treated over 800 patients who have come to me with Candida, and have been able to help the majority of them get better and stay Candida free. How is this done? It is a combination of testing hundreds of foods and chemicals, finding individual sensitivities and having that patient stay away from them for a period of time.

Then I correct structural imbalances on multiple levels, as well as reestablishing normal brain function and communication with the body. Lastly, you are tested on many nutrients and then put on the ones your body needs, along with an individualized three week diet. Everything is noninvasive and specifically designed for your body’s particular health needs.

Yes, most people do have Candida—both children and adults, but everyone can get better if they want to.

Food Sensitivities. How Did This Happen?

Have you ever thought, I used to be able to eat everthing and now it seems like a lot of the things I try to eat make me sick. How did this happen and what is wrong with me?

Becoming sensitive to foods does not occur over night. It actually takes a long time to develop unless someone is actually born with a food allergen i.e., peanuts, lactose, etc. When you become sensitive to foods you previously were able to eat it’s a warning sign that your immune system is not functioning properly.

This can be caused by many things. One of the most common causes is the overgrowth of Candida or “Systemic Yeast.” The ph of the large intestine or “gut” changes, allowing chemicals and undigested food particles to leak back out into the body, which disrupts function on many levels. It particually affects digestion and the immune system, creating new food sensitivies.

Another cause of food sensitivies and its components are SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth), heavy metal accumulation, toxicity, parasites, Lyme Disease, chemical and environmental sensitivities, structural imbalances, cranial faults, and emotional issues, whether conscious or subconscious.

In all of the protocols I do with my patients, I look at all these issues and others as the factors in creating food sensitivities and additional health issues. The good news is that 99% of food sensitivies can be corrected, and the body can once again go back to being a healthy and cooperative environment.
